it's a sure sign Spring is on it's way... the Skunks are out. This one was happily searching the grass in the backyard of todays job. I was a little concerned about getting out of the Jeep since it was less than 20ft away, but this guy was on a mission and I didn't seem to bother him. btw, I took these photos from the safety of my vehicle. My husband saw a new baby lamb today, bouncing and dancing...too bad he doesn't carry a camera.
I'm neglecting my blog, it's been almost a month since I've been here. This is our 2nd day of snow and the wind is suppose to pick up with 30mph gusts, so since school canceled I canceled work, giving me the perfect opportunity to add something here. These barn shots are from last week. I took my youngest son for a haircut(actually he has his learners permit, I was being chauffeured) so this was a drive-by shooting. I need to go back alone to get more variety with different angles. Too bad it's on the North side of the road, the sunrise or sunset would be an awesome background.
This is the point of(my) interest.... I straightened, cropped and adjusted the levels to make it more a silhouette.
Everyone has a passion, mine is photography. My day job as a house painter doesn't come close to being as rewarding or as much fun as when I have my camera in my hands. I'm a serious amateur working my way up to full time professional, selling sports shots, portraits and weddings. I have a Canon EOS 30D DSLR and regularly use 3 lens, 18-55mm Canon, 55-200 Promaster, and the sweetest of all is my 200-500mm TAMRON. 2 years ago I discovered HDRImaging and PhotomatixPro. It didn't take long before that turned into another of my obsessions. 2 long years and I still haven't trained the dog to sit still for more than 1 exposure.
